The first week as a family of four

well...we did it! we have successfully completed our first week of being a family of four! Amalia is doing amazing as a big sister, she is busy helping change nora's diapers and helping Jesse cook dinner! The pic of her in dress up is at 630am yesterday morning..i slept a little extra while jesse and daddy played dress up...the dill home is full of fun at 6 am! She is dying to take Nora on the slide at the park! Jesse and I are in total heaven with our two daughters, we didn't think life could get any better and it has. Nora spends her days sleeping and eating ad just being cute.

We had our first big outing to target yesterday-Amalia picked out "big girl" underwear, Nora got diapers, I got breast pads and Jesse got his share of a fun filled shopping day with three girls! poor Jesse...anyone want to take him on a "man date" please do! It was a great trip...next on the agenda...the zoo. Thank you all for the phone calls, visits, meals and prayers...we are doing great!

The delivery...

So, here is the scoop. Katie woke up at 3am with pretty hard contractions, by 315 there weren't any breaks in between and she was on the floor on all fours screaming for dear life and not even able to walk. Jesse called Sheilah, who rushed right over and by the time she got there to take care of Amalia it was 3:45 and Katie was ready to push on the kitchen floor. Jesse and Katie rushed to the hospital in about 5 minutes...got to the ER at 3:55am, was taken on a stretcher to the maternity delivery room by 3:57, three pushes and three minutes later Nora Katherine Dill, 7 lb, 5 oz, 19 inches, was born at 4:00am. Everything went so fast that Jesse didnt even have his wallet or keys or a camera, the only camera we had was on Katie's phone. There was no time for oxygen, IV, epidural, nothing. Amalia was brought over by Grandma and Grandpa by 430 and tia and Josh were there by 445. It was the most amazing yet hardest one hour of our lives. Thankfully we are all healthy, happy and will be returning home on Wed!.

Amalia is so proud to be a big sister. She is walking around saying "Im a big sister".
