Jesse climbed one of Colorado's 14ers!!!

Jesse, Zach and Zach's friend Josh climbed one of Colorado's 14er peaks...Princeton on Saturday! Good thing we watched all of those episodes of EVEREST to prepare! I am so so very proud of Jesse for doing this, he loves climbing, i hate it, and it was nice that he had someone to go with while i happily laid by the pool at my aunt and uncle's house.

the best husband ever...

So..as for the "surprise road trip" jesse was planning for us, he actually flew our entire family down to denver for a long weekend to spend with family...three words come to mind...BEST HUSBAND EVER. we left thursday and just got home sunday, we had an amazing time. There are so many drama stories regarding traveling and the girls that i am happy to post later...too long to post now:)...but if you want to see some SUPER cute pics from this weekend go to my cousin Kelsey's blog, she is way way more on top of it than i am...http://thewilberns.blogspot.com/ over the weekend we saw my grandparents who happened to be visiting from montana-great aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc etc. i will blog details later, but all in all we had an amazing weekend and i am so truly blessed to have the incredible family that I do. I love you Jesse, thank you! And thanks to Zach for being the best liar ever!

Classic Oregon Coast fog...but still warm!

Nice and cool at the beach

It has reached record highs of 105-107 in the Portland area this week, we are staying cool at the beach..with temps as high as 93...it still feels kind of weird getting a tan at the Oregon Coast, but hey...i wont argue! Jesse had to go into work a couple of days so Amalia and I decided to give ourselves pedicures, and of course as soon as Jess got back from work we were headed right down to the beach to play! Our days consist of playing on the beach, playing on the beach, and playing on the beach...and loving it:)

Enjoying our family at the beach...

We are having an incredible time (only been here one day thus far) at the beach! The weather is about 102 in Portland, and about 80 here. We spent the day down at the beach, playing in the sand, making sand castles, chasing waves and taking a long nap:0). Amalia can't get enough of the water and wants to roll in the sand as much as she can. Jesse and I are enjoying our little family tremendously and are so blessed to have such beautiful little girls. Our favorite story...when Amalia told me "good job, you are such a big girl" when I used the restroom...awesome.

SISTERS!!

We still can't believe we have two darling little girls, each are so special in their own way...Amalia is full of spirit and so fun to be around little Nora is just as peaceful and sweet as can be. One has big brown eyes and blond hair while the other has big blue eyes and so far...a little red hair. Here is a pic of each of the girls at the same age. In some pictures they look alike and some they are completely different. In person, they are definitely their own individual little girls. Amalia went on her first "road trip" with daddy to Grants Pass for a wedding, stayed in a hotel, ate cake and now wants to get married (oh great!). Nora went on a mini road trip with mommy, opa and grandma to Eugene to see a friend, Scott Pedemonte graduate from college...We are loving everyday and looking forward to an exciting summer!

Jesus, the real estate agent

Last night the four of us were driving home from a friends house after dinner and our conversation turned into "what Jesus is doing". Amalia loves that man more than life itself and continues to tell us that he is going to make cookies with her, play in the tunnel with her, go to daycare with her, etc. I ask Amalia..."where is Jesus", (thinking she is going to say that he is in her heart) Amalia answers, "in heaven, showing property to his clients" HILARIOUS!

its otay mommy, it happens....

So today we experienced our second ever total melt down...let me tell you that i sweat more in carrying my screaming two year old out of a mall and walking a gigantic stroller with a screaming three month old in it than i do when i am training for a half marathon. Today my darling Amalia decided she did NOT want to leave the mall and Nora decided she wanted to eat right then and there. So, here i am marching through the mall with my two children faster than lightning to get to my safe haven...my car. We get to the car, i feed Nora, Amalia is STILL screaming that she wants to pee in the mall potty ONLY, no where else, and as Amalia calms down i speak to her about her behavior and ways to better solve it next time and her response to me is this..."thats otay mommy, it happens..." huh? "what happens AMalia?" "I scream, its otay...it happens" oh brother...

The delivery...

So, here is the scoop. Katie woke up at 3am with pretty hard contractions, by 315 there weren't any breaks in between and she was on the floor on all fours screaming for dear life and not even able to walk. Jesse called Sheilah, who rushed right over and by the time she got there to take care of Amalia it was 3:45 and Katie was ready to push on the kitchen floor. Jesse and Katie rushed to the hospital in about 5 minutes...got to the ER at 3:55am, was taken on a stretcher to the maternity delivery room by 3:57, three pushes and three minutes later Nora Katherine Dill, 7 lb, 5 oz, 19 inches, was born at 4:00am. Everything went so fast that Jesse didnt even have his wallet or keys or a camera, the only camera we had was on Katie's phone. There was no time for oxygen, IV, epidural, nothing. Amalia was brought over by Grandma and Grandpa by 430 and tia and Josh were there by 445. It was the most amazing yet hardest one hour of our lives. Thankfully we are all healthy, happy and will be returning home on Wed!.

Amalia is so proud to be a big sister. She is walking around saying "Im a big sister".

Amalia and Nora

We are only 5 weeks away from our due date and finally get to meet little baby Nora. We are so excited but also know this time around that you just don't get to sleep! Amalia is cracking us up, slowly easing into "sharing her home and family" with this mystery child. She has now shared her babies, her books and her yogurt with baby Nora...but at the same time she also puts baby Nora into a time out. :) Today Amalia asked when baby Nora (aka March) can come play in her room.. so funny. love to all!
